CARBON CERAMIC DISCS
Carbon ceramic brake discs are the latest generation of automotive brake discs, made from carbon fiber reinforced silicon carbide ceramic composite material. The carbon fiber inside the carbon ceramic brake disc plays a crucial role in enhancing the mechanical strength and fracture toughness, ensuring the safety of the brake disc. The carbon matrix improves the friction coefficient, enhances braking smoothness, and reduces noise.
Our company's carbon ceramic discs are long-fiber carbon ceramic brake discs, offering superior mechanical performance. The elongation at break of long-fiber carbon ceramic materials can reach 0.4% to 0.6%, much higher than the 0.1% to 0.3% of short-fiber carbon ceramic discs, exhibiting fracture behavior similar to that of metallic materials. This overcomes the drawbacks of traditional ceramic discs, such as high brittleness and susceptibility to breakage, resulting in improved mechanical performance of the brake discs.
